Pharmacy SOS offers a pay roll service, an option to consider when choosing how to pay your locum pharmacists. Rather than having to worry about superannuation and PAYG obligations when paying on invoice where the locum is considered an employee by the ATO, or having to add them to your payroll, this simple and straightforward option can save you hundreds of hours over time.
While this service has been offered to our customers for many years now, it can now be extended to pharmacies that have their own bank of locums, or use other means of hiring locum pharmacists where a payroll service is not offered – such as on social networks.
The best thing is – there are no monthly or annual fees associated with this service. You simply pay the hourly rate and associated costs (Includes all PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll tax, WorkCover, small administartion fee). There are no “per employee” costs or minimum base cost. Just pay for the hours worked.
The following is how you can pay your locum pharmacists through the Pharmacy SOS payroll service:
- Register as an employer with Pharmacy SOS and log in to the Employer Portal.
- Submit a Direct Debit Request.
- The locum pharmacist fills in a time sheet at your request. (You can either send them this link or ask them to go to our website).
That’s it! As easy as 1-2-3. From here, we take care of the rest.
We generate an invoice which is paid via the DDR request in Step 2, and send you a copy of the invoice. We then pay the locum pharmacist on our regular fortnightly payment, looking after preparation of pay slips, payment of wages, calculation and payment of superannuation and withholding PAYG.
Now you can get back to what you do best – manage the business and look after your customers.
